   Since the remote that came with my 2011 Samsung UN46D8000 is a known battery drainer, I chose to order a back up remote. Since this remote had the smart TV symbol , I ordered it. It works fantastic for the TV and smart TV functions! Highly recommended, especially, since the price is so low!

   This ancient trusty remote is much simpler to use than the newer(and more expensive) fancy remote. The only complaint is that it doesn’t have a separate button for “skip forward” or “skip backward”.

   This remote was recommended by an Amazon tech for use with our Samsung Smart TV. It has most the functions that the remote that came with the TV and is MUCH SIMPLER TO USE.
