Dead on arrival. New batteries straight out of the package. Remote wouldn’t light up when the light button was pressed. Nor would the TV respond. I removed the batteries and tested them with a meter – both tested 1.58 volts. Oh and yes, they were inserted the right direction. Just for kicks I placed them upside down but no change. The remote has Samsung’s part number on it but it doesn’t really say Samsung on it anywhere so it doesn’t really appear to be a genuine Samsung remote. Thank you Amazon for making the return very simple. I will be placing an order for another one through a different supplier and hoping for a better result. Remote looked fantastic…just dead.

Product does not work. Seems I had the same problem as the only other reviewer on here. I had batteries in the remote all day but it still will not work. When I hit the “light” button, it flicks on for a fraction of a second and that’s it. Does not appear to work properly and I will be sending it back. And even though this is a PRIME product and should be delivered in 2 days, it took 5. So, yeah, not pleased.

Mine was DOA also. On mine the positive battery contacts were pressed flat and didn’t make contact with the batteries. After pulling them out a bit it worked straight away. The remote doesn’t appear to be made by Samsung, but it’s a 99% exact clone. I’m sure a genuine Samsung would cost much more. I would recommend it.
